sound Advice
WLCA is proud to serve the Winnipeg, and Manitoba, community! We have been providing sound guidance for the past 13 years. Cats face immense challenges in our province. By helping people get cats home, we have made a difference in the lives of thousands. We have connected countless people with the right services, assistance, and resources. Our written documents provide education to the masses, that can be passed on to others. We can help you, help the cats in your life. They are all worthy of love, care, respect and humane treatment.

cat-related Issues
With more than 25 years of cat rescue experience, WLCA is very familiar with cat behaviour. This knowledge helps others who find themselves in situations where they’re not quite sure what to do. Whether it’s your own cat, a friend’s cat or a cat you keep seeing outside, we can provide you with strategies and guidance for the situation.
Although WLCA doesn’t have volunteers, standing by, ready to post lost and found cats anymore, the information available on this website, and on our Facebook page, is something we want everyone to access. Current, factual information is an important way to keep cats safe and healthy.
If the resources, documents and FAQ sections do not address your particular situation, we invite you to use our contact form to outline what you need help with. If your situation is beyond our scope, there are other organizations that can help. We will point you in the right direction.
While we can provide information on basic cat care, we cannot dispense medical advice. Your vet is the best person to deal with health concerns. Many people don’t recognize symptoms of common conditions, so we will always advise consulting your vet, in the best interest of the cat. It’s easy to forget things in stressful situations. We can help you with a list of questions to ask your vet at the cat’s appointment.
